The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the unaccompanied Oyo State state governor’s wife arrived at the International Wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, at 6.45a.m today aboard a Virgin Atlantic Airline flight.
The Oyo State first Lady was received at the airport by her personal aides and security men. She told newsmen, “I am here live as you can see. I have never had any encounter with the London Metropolitan Police and I know I will never have. This has shown the true test of any human being’s ability to stand firm in times of crisis and controversy. My arrest is just a rumour and I think the time has come for us in Nigeria to stop playing dirty politics.”
On her arrival, the Oyo State first lady attributed the report to the handiwork of those she called mischief makers: “It is an attempt to tarnish my reputation which I have kept in my over 30 years of marriage. It is the price I have to pay as the wife of a politician… It is laughable; I only travelled last Sunday to London to accompany my child, who returned to a secondary school there… I stand on the solid rock of Jesus Christ and all other grounds are sinking sand. This is a passing phase and it will pass over.

Oyo State First Lady Was Not Arrested In London - Festus Adedayo
The Oyo State Government has said Mrs Florence Ajimobi was not arrested in London for any offence whatsoever. Here is the statement made known by them to the press.
“We want to state unequivocally that this report is not only wicked, it is the figment of the imagination of the writers. Mrs. Ajimobi was never arrested for any offence whatsoever. Even though our investigations have shown that this is the work of some arrowheads of the opposition, it was done in such an amateurish way that beats the imagination of any responsible reader.
The government said that though it had a lot of respect for the media, there was the need to drag the runners of these media to court to explain the details of their reports to the rest of the world.
The government decried what it called dirty politicking by the opposition in the state who use the media for the propagation of their falsehood, stating that the courts would be able to compel those behind this wicked lie to provide details of the veracity or otherwise of their claims on the governor’s wife.

Those arrested were Moudjaidou Soumanou, former minister of commerce; Yayi’s personal doctor Ibrahim Mama Cisse; and Zouberath Kora-Seke, one of Yayi’s nieces who worked at the presidency.
It was alleged that the president’s niece and his doctor were promised one billion CFA francs (1.5 million euros, $2 million) to replace Yayi’s anti-pain medicine with poison.
An aide to the president, speaking on condition of anonymity, has alleged that the plot may have been linked to a decision to end the monopoly of a company supplying materials for the cotton industry as well as a major port contract.

Davido to Sue Punch? Plus His Statement about His Arrest
Punch broke the news that Davido is wanted by the Police. The guy went on twitter and said this;
Here is also what he said about all the rumours going around;
I want to assure all my beloved fans and friends that, I am not wanted by the police and no officer in the Nigerian police gave an order for my arrest. I went to the police some weeks ago to give a statement and cleared my name. I did not beat up any taxi driver and the lady that hired the taxi driver and all those that are involved in this matter have made statements to the police and none of them mentioned my name except the taxi driver who claims that a large sum of money was missing in his taxi, in fact the lady in question stated that she was not beaten by anyone and that nobody assaulted the taxi driver. This is a case of blackmail, and I have resolved not to succumb to any blackmail for money. And to all those that are involved in this conspiracy to bring me down, I want to remind you that God Almighty himself got me to where I am today in my music career and you will not succeed in your devilish efforts to bring me down.

Music Act Ekwe Sample Arrested For Alleged Murder Of Lover
Raga Rasta musician, Sunday Ekwe, popularly known as Ekwe SAMPLE, is in police custody for allegedly killing his lover, Rukayat Idris. Ekwe was arrested by homicide detectives attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos on May 9, 2012 following allegation that he strangled and killed Idris in her Honda Civic car on April 13, 2012. Click to continue reading...
Police sources told Eagleonline that Idris, a mother of two, was found dead in her car under the bridge close to the Trade Fair Complex Bus Stop on the ever busy Mile2-Badagry Expressway around 8pm.Her corpse was discovered by passers-by who alerted the police at the Trade Fair Police Station.
The car was allegedly first noticed at that spot in the afternoon of April 13, 2012.
Idris' remains has since been deposited in a mortuary, with autopsy to be carried out.
The police said there was no gunshot wound and investigation so far revealed that nothing was stolen from her.
However, there were marks on her neck, which indicated that she was strangled.
Ekwe, who has separated from Idris before the incident, was fingered by her lover's family as the suspect in the presumed murder.
Sources closed to the estranged couple told the police that Ekwe and Idris have been separated for close to a year over issues of constant quarrelling and battering.
It was gathered that Ekwe moved out of the apartment at the Central Bank of Nigeria Quarters, Satellite Town, Lagos, which he shared with Idris and their child, a girl, following his low profile life after his finances dwindled.
One Rasta Mumen, a close friend of Idis's, told the police that Idris was abandoned and has been squatting with friends after the rent at the CBN Quarters ran out last year.
Mumen also told the police that Idris, an indigene of Kogi State, left her child with her that fateful day for the market but never returned home.
Sources close to the family added that after the police discovered Idris’s corpse, they informed Ekwe but he showed no concern.
“It was Ruyakat’s sister who came from Port Harcourt that identified her body and made the complaint, because when Ekwe was called that Ruyakat’s corpse was found in her car, he showed no remorse or came to identify her,” the source, who requested anonymity, said.
It was further gathered that popular rasta musicians such as Daddy Showkey, African China among others have shown their solidarity with Ekwe as they came to visit him in the cell at Panti last weekend.

Update on Babasuwe’s Arrest by NDLEA
Seems nothing scary has been heard about Babasuwe’s drug issue with the NDLEA. The Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency has told the media that Babasuwe has only excreted twice since his arrest on Wednesday and will have to do this six times before he could be released, if eventually no drug trace is found in his excretions.
So that’s the latest, and the comic act will have to stay in their net till he comes out the sixth time. We think the comedian should just force himself to poo, so he could go home if he truly swallowed nothing. Abi why stay there unnecessarily.
