Students Kidnapped Female Colleague...Assaulted, Killed And Buried Her In A Forest

Two students of Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, Henry Edewo, 21 and Emmanuel Isikhuime, have been arrested by the Police for kidnapping, molesting and murdering a female student, one Mercy Peter, 21, also a student of the institution.

They were alleged to have buried their victim in a shallow grave in a forest at Ugbor village, Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, after killing her. Please click to continue.


Vanguard gathered that the victim, who was kidnapped on July 29, this year, was killed four days later after she was serially molested by the suspects.

They were also alleged to have continued to demand for ransom from her parents after killing her.

State Police Public Relations Officer, Anthony Airhuoyo, however, told newsmen that the police made a breakthrough in the case on October 17 when two of the suspects were arrested.

He added that a third suspect, whose name was given as Charles, was still on the run.

Airhuoyo disclosed that the suspects took the police to the spot where they buried Mercy and her corpse was exhumed. He said they were awaiting autopsy report.

He just didn’t confess, but a source said Wunmi’s parents didn’t believe his story that she was shot by armed robbers, so they had to invoke her spirit (a common practice in many parts of Nigeria, particularly where the circumstances surrounding the death of a person is suspicious. When this is done, the killer is tormented by the spirit of the deceased until he or she confesses.)

So he confessed to the police. According to him, he is an armed robber unknown to wunmi. Wunmi came to his house that day, barged in and met him and his friends celebrating with guns on their table. She tried to run back, but they caught her, beat her, and raped her before they finally shot her. He said he had to do that so that Wunmi won’t tell anyone what she saw.

I watched dad kill mum –Only child

An 11-year-old boy, Onyebuchi Eze, who witnessed how his mother was gruesomely murdered by his father has relived the bizarre incident.

Sunday Eze Jnr. killed his wife, Anthonia, on Tuesday night, leaving residents of Agbani Village on the outskirts of Nsukka Urban in Enugu State bewildered.

Onyebuchi, the only child of his parents, was traced to his uncle’s house, Alex, where he took refuge after witnessing the murder of his mother during a disagreement over what the boy described as a flimsy issue.

He recounted the incident, speaking in low tone, apparently traumatized: “My father has been exhibiting some strange behaviours, which made him to regret actions he took on some matters in the end.

“My father has a mental problem and exhibits it at times. He regrets certain actions he takes, when it is too late.

“On the fateful night, he had a quarrel with my mother over a small issue and my father reached out for his machete and started dealing cuts on my mother. I tried to stop him, but could not. So, he cut mummy all over her body, head, leg, hand and everywhere.

“I was very afraid but daddy took me along after he finished and we hid in the farmland near our house.

“After some time in the bush, he told me to run to his senior brother’s house and tell him what happened.

“I obeyed and that is why I am here.

“I am 11 years old and a pupil of Model Primary School, Nsukka Urban and in primary five.”

Onyebuchi said his father attempted to commit suicide while they were hiding in the farmland, using a spanner to slash his throat.

A search party initiated by a community leader, Chief Ejike Onah alias Papa Nsukka, fished out the killer husband, after an intensive manhunt that lasted for over 30 hours.

The suspect, Eze, told Daily Sun that his wife was responsible for his mental problem and that she died during a scuffle on the fateful night.

“I was told by a diviner that my wife had a hand in my mental problem, which causes me internal heat at intervals,” he said.

Meanwhile, Eze has been handed over to the police.

He is being held at the Nsukka Police Station.

Only two months ago, a former commissioner of the state electoral body, Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC), Chief Nweze, shot his wife dead in their marital home at Enugu-Ezike in Igboeze North Local Government Area.

Ebonyi State: Policeman Kills Self After Shooting Wife, Daughters

A Nigerian Police Corporal, Anthony Ugwuoke, yesterday at Edda Village, Ugwuachara in Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi state, shot himself dead after shooting his wife, Nkechi, and two daughters.

Ugwuoke’s wife and daughters are in critical condition at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki (FETHA), where neighbours rushed them after the incident, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Mr Sylvester Igbo, Police Public Relations Officer in the state, confirmed the incident but added that no clue had been established on the motive for the action.

“Investigations into the matter are on-going as we would ensure we get to its root.

“The body of the late officer has, however, been deposited at FETHA mortuary,” he said.

Chief Jones Igboke, a community leader in the area, expressed sadness over the incident and called on the police to unravel the mystery surrounding it.

Girl Kills Landlord's Daughter Over Bathroom Slippers

After reading this story, I am sure you will be convinced that no matter what happens; one shouldn’t fight another person physically. So sad. The lady (dead one) was troublesome; her father knew it…but she just didn’t die alone, she now wants someone else to follow her… click to read the story…

It started as a squabble between two ladies. One was the landlord’s daughter, the other a tenant’s little sister. In time, it graduated to a brawl. People, including the landlord, came to separate them. And there was peace – or so the people thought. Just when everyone was just settling down with what he or she was doing, there was a fresh commotion.

The two ladies had gone back at each other. This time viciously. By the time it all ended, one of the ladies lay dead. It was the landlord’s daughter, named Rhoda. It was said that her alleged assailant, the tenant’s little sister named Happiness, stabbed her in the chest. Her dead body is now in a morgue in the Isolo area of Lagos.

Rhoda, a 23-year-old hairdresser and mother of two (she was nursing the last one before her death) was living in her father’s house, at No. 23 Odulaju Street, Sabo, with her children. Her father Oladuyoye Abel is a pastor with Christ Apostolic Church.

Her alleged killer, Happiness, 19, from Nnewi South, Anambra State and a salesgirl at Alaba International Market, Ojo, said she never intended to kill Rhoda. According to her it was Rhoda who wanted to stab her.

Narrating the incident, Happened said she returned from the Lagos International Trade Fair to notice that her bathroom slippers were not at the entrance of her room. She started looking for them and saw Rhoda’s first child of about four years wearing them.

She continued: “I was cautioning the little girl and I didn’t know that her mother was by the well-side. Instead of Rhoda to caution her child, she started asking the little girl why she should wear the slippers of a valueless, worthless, miserable and good-for-nothing girl. She was calling me other unprintable names. It was from then that fight erupted and her father and my brother intervened immediately and separated us. That was about 7.30pm. Her father was angry with her and he asked her if she was the only lady in the compound that every time, she would quarrel with people.”

Happiness said, in annoyance, the old man went inside the house and started throwing out his daughter’s belongings, asking her to “leave the house as he is fed up with her trouble. My brother also cautioned me that this shouldn’t be the reason to fight. I wanted to go inside when she rushed at me from behind and I shouted and drew the attention of people that thought that the fight had ended and I fell on the door of the tenants’ kitchen and she was holding my jugular.

“Her mother was there, I didn’t know how she got a kitchen knife on the floor probably left by a tenant that was cooking and wanted to stab me. I overpowered her and took it from her and it slipped through my finger and I stabbed her. It was later that I heard that it was on the chest that I stabbed her.”

Happiness is undergoing interrogation at the homicide section of SIB in Yaba, Lagos.

Nigerian Man Kills 19 Year Old Ghanaian GF, Throws Body Into Neighbours Compound (PHOTO)

A TWENTY-six-year-old unemployed Nigerian, Nathaniel Udama Adu, is in the grips of the Mile 7 Police in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old SHS leaver, Matilda Asante, believed to be his girlfriend, at Tantra Hills in Accra.

Detectives from the station were dispatched immediately after information got to the station at about 7:45am on Monday, June 18, 2012 that a dead body had been found at Tantra Hills.

The Mile 7 Police District Commander, DSP Peter Yembila, told DAILY GUIDE that when the police got to the scene, an uncompleted house, the body of a young female of about 19 years was found lying in a supine position covered with a bed sheet, while her legs and neck were tied.

When police tried to remove the cover, they detected that a black polythene bag had been used to cover her head before tying it to her neck, which was broken.

The police suspected that the victim might have been killed in a nearby house and later dumped in the deserted uncompleted structure.

They therefore went into the adjoining house and met one Nigerian by name Collins Uka, who said he rented the house and lived there with his younger brother, who joined him from Nigeria in November 2011.

As police moved from one room to the other, they found a pillow-case which matched the bed sheet that covered the deceased.

Uka disclosed that it was his younger brother’s room, adding that the brother was at an internet café browsing.

The police personnel proceeded to the said café and arrested the suspect who identified and confirmed his relationship with the deceased but said the last time he saw her was in April.

Suspect Udama said he however communicated with the deceased on phone and the last conversation they had was on June 11, 2012.

Nathaniel had since been kept in police custody while investigation into the matter continues.
