Wizkid, Banky W, Lead Niyola, Skales, Others On EME Album

The first-ever EME all-stars album is done and ready to be unleashed. Featuring solo and collaboration appearances by all EME acts and select friends of the house, the album, already titled ‘Empire Mates State of Mind’, is a 22-tracked LP that boasts some of the finest tracks to come out of Nigeria this year. The label says it took almost one year to put the EME album together, and fans who have had a preview listen admit the materials are ‘a collector’s item’.

The album, to be released exclusively on Spinlet on Monday June 18, features the core EME Artistes: Banky W, Wizkid, Skales, Niyola, Shaydee, DJ Exclusive, as well as prime guest appearances from Affiliates such as Ghana-Based Rapper XO Senavoe and US-Based Singer/Actor Rotimi. The album also contains three fun skits by comedian Basketmouth.

‘We’re very proud of the EME Album. We took our time to put together a fantastic blend of our talents as a collective, while also showcasing what each artiste is able to do individually. It felt like the right time to drop this record; each artiste is bringing his/her A-game, and the production quality is out of this world. There’s something for everybody… songs to dance to, songs to listen to, songs that make you think… We’re very excited about being able to share this with our fans worldwide, and we hope that we’ve been able to live up to and/or surpass their expectations of us. Our work is done. All that remains is for y’all to sit back, relax and press play…” says Banky W who supervised the production of the album.

‘Empire Mates State of Mind’ boasts production from Nigeria’s finest talents including Banky W, Masterkraft, Legendary Beats, Spellz, Sarz, Shizzy and Kid Konnect.

The album is available, for free, from Monday June 18, on Spinlet, Nigeria’s premiere digital distribution platform.

Niyola has officially become the first lady of E.M.E. She will be featuring in the forthcoming E.M.E album compilation which as Wizkid, Skales and Banky W on it. The album will also be released this month.  Hmm, good move.

Being text of a speech delivered at the emergency meeting of the association of Single Nigerian Males upon receipt of news of Annie Macaulay and 2face’s Valentine day engagement.

Comrades, dear friends and fellow brothers, it is indeed with a deep sense of loss we announce the exit of one of our most prominent and key members, Innocent Ujah Idibia, or 2baba, from our most esteemed and rapidly expanding club on February 14, 2012. Click read more to conitinue..

This development, utterly surprising to members of SNM, is the reason we have gathered here virtually on short notice to re-strategise and plot the way forward, and I wish to thank you for leaving your very leisurely, commitment-free lifestyles to honour our call. Once again thank you most sincerely.

This ‘Valentine Day Massacre’, as it now appears to be, is one that is capable of rapidly depleting our ranks almost irreparably, bearing in mind the huge influence the subject has on the majority of SNM members worldwide. It is our singular agenda today to arrive at decisions that will repair our tainted credibility, and dissuade the likely mass exodus of members from our club that this action may engender.

While we do not wish to appear as an anti-progress organisation, thereby  joining the rest of the populace in wishing the couple the best ahead, we cannot but feel a bit of resentment at the unexpected turn of events.

For one, an appropriate heads up of the move by 2baba would have been appreciated, and would have helped us to better prepare against the attack on our reputation. However, the bad sharp guy rubbed it in by proposing to his African Queen during this year’s lover’s day celebration, at a notable ex-footballer and master dribbler’s club. Mr. Idibia, we are not amused by the irony.

However, as with other storms, such as the one caused by Naeto C late last year, we shall see this one through, as always. We trust the able efforts of prime officials like Mr. Endowed, who will restore pride in our organisation with the help of Mr Capable from image and branding department, supported by Mr Incredible from the propaganda section.

Our hearts go out to certain distinguished members of our sister organization, Single Nigerian Females; namely Pero Adeniyi and Sunmbo Ajaba on their loss of the coveted title of Mrs. Idibia to Annie Macaulay. It must feel dis-heartening, and we empathise with you. However, with the help of strong members like Genevienne, Dita Rominic, Sunmi Iyandah, and veteran, Weird MD, we shall endeavour to make your stay in our fold more comfortable, and provide you with tools to advance our cause.

2face Idibia was an outstanding member of our union, and his ability to hold on to our values even after three official girlfriends, five children with a sixth on the way and 14 years of elusive dating is remarkable, and proves him to be a master in the art of using smokescreens. Sadly, being only human, he finally succumbed to mounting pressures. I wish to categorically state here that our membership support system is capable of handling any emotional problems and can’t see why the Hypertek N*gga failed to enlist their help during his moment of weakness. Nonetheless, his highly documented skills will be surely preserved for posterity. He will be missed by all.

My Comment on Banky w Fingered in Whizkid’s Sex Tape… LUCY

Omg! Here is what a reader of this blog wrote as her comment below the post which reads: Banky w fingered in whizkid’s sex tape.

I just think a lot of people need to read this and just try to understand what she is saying. Sentiments aside, there’s a bit of truth in this. Thank you LUCY.

The boy doesn't have much time for Banky W. On twitter Banky is all over him like hardly does he make any statement without trying to connect Wizkid. Eg vote Wizkid and I bla bla and more sh*t. Wizkid kinda denies his older protege and seldom responds to any tweet by Banky whilst Banky W struggles relentless to warm his way in. Am sure Banky is pissed with the boy's attitude towards him. In all fairness Wizkid's got dangerous talents the same cannot be said for Banky whose career is at best staggering and below par. Banky might really be behind all the negative publicity behind Wizkid. But even if he were not directly responsible then somebody in the inner caucus is stirring and cooking this storm. Wizkid should tone down on his extravagant lifestyle and try to act more responsible. Youth is a major consequence but self will should get the better side of him in order to succeed at what he is pursuing. Wishing away the sex tape as being a wizkid look alike aint true. He was in that sex tape. His detractors are working around the clock to thwart and frustrate him but pull back he should and must refocus and try to be squeaky "clean". The man ramming his member into that woman in the sex tape is Wizkid and his continuous refusal does him no good as it further tarnishes his shriveled credibility. He did it and he should man up to say he did and he was blackmailed that should sound better and of course the only argument he can work with on this scandal. Its obvious to any unbiased mind out there that Wizkid is the man in that amateur video. Control your escapades and watch the scandals dwindle! Stars live decidedly coded and "quiet" lives because their stories make headlines and does their career no good. Even the weirdest craziest celebs keep it strictly to profession and try to live "normal" lives devoid of cheap scandals.
