And you thought you had a bad job! Indian 'sewer diver' paid just £3.50 a day to unclog drains


Devi Lal, 43, is one of hundreds of impoverished Indian workers forced to scavenge a living by performing dangerous and unhygienic tasks with no safety equipment. Even though India banned the practice in 1993, government agencies still use thousands of manual scavengers to clean drains.
