Gunmen Kill Woman in Lagos


A pretty Ghanaian lady married to a Nigerian and living in Lagos with her family met her sudden death two days ago when unknown gunmen shot both her and her husband. Faustina Adigwe, a mother of two minors, died after two men on a motorcycle fired at her from close range in the Randle area of Surulere, not too far from Ojuelegba. “She was leisurely cruising around Randle area with her husband when two men on an okada drew close and fired repeatedly at the driver’s side,” says the eyewitness, “She was the one driving the car, which had tinted glass, and it is doubtful if the killers clearly saw the person they were firing at.”
Friends of the family described the incident as very unfortunate. “She was a very gentle and jovial lady who could not hurt a fly. She couldn’t have been involved in any shady business, so I can’t understand why someone could do this,” one of them said.

It was learnt that Tina, was an enterprising trader who shuttled between her native Ghana and Nigeria, while her husband is into events management.

Gunmen Break into Prison in Edo


The Federal maximum security prison in Oko, Edo state has been bombed by suspected criminals today.
The prison was attacked at about 1:40 am with sophisticated weapons. It is assumed that the suspected gunmen attacked the prison to rescue some of their friends that have been condemned to death.
Six of the eight inmates escaped while the other two were apprehended.

Gunmen attack the family house of Vice President, Namadi Sambo

Suspected militants have attacked the family home of Vice President Namadi Sambo on Baba Ahmed Road in Tudun Wada area of Zaria, Kaduna State. According to eyewitnesses, the gunmen drove by the house and shot at two policemen guarding the house.

The policemen reportedly survived the attack, while the gunmen fled the scene.

Pathetic: 25-year- old UBA staff killed by gunmen

Damilola Sowemimo, a 25 years old female banker with the United Bank for Africa, was on Sunday shot dead by two gunmen operating on a motorcycle in front of her parents house in Lagos. According to a friend of the deceased who witnessed the incident, “On Sunday morning, Damilola (Sowemimo) was going to church. Her friends had parked on the other side of the road and she was attempting to cross when two men on a motorcycle appeared from nowhere. Click to read more
“The bandits came down from the bike, snatched her phone and ransacked her bag. When they did not see any valuables in her bag, they got angry and shot her in the neck before speeding off,” said Tosin Adeboye.
It was gathered that Damilola was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but later gave up the ghost as she bled profusely.
