Thank You For Funmi Lawal, But We Still Have MEKA AKEREJOLA

I got a mail just like most bloggers got it some days ago to save Meka Akerejola of Rhythm 94.7fm Abuja. And only 3days ago too, we got one for Funmi Lawal. Today to the glory of God Funmi has over N5m in her account and all she needs from us now are prayers for her surgery to be successful.

Meka is still in need of our help. 31-year-old Meka, an orphan is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and was diagnosed with high blood pressure in 2010 and after further tests was discovered to have a failed kidney.

He has interviewed some of Nigeria's biggest stars and made sure we had a smooth sailing to work every morning With "The Morning Drive".

He needs N7m for a kidney transplant. So far he has received N2m. Please let us save MEKA! Let us save the man that once made us smile every morning as we drive to work.

Funmi Lawal Speaks- My Fund Raising is Not a Scam

I have received not less than four mails today about Funmi Lawal’s N4m fund raising awareness for a surgery she needs urgently. Some people have called it a scam and asked I investigate.

Someone said and I quote; ‘If Funmi was truly sick, why can’t she take a full picture of herself showing her face and the infected arm together’ bla bla bla...

I also got tired of reading mails that said, Ladun please investigate, it’s a scam. So I got in touch with Funmi and she didn’t know may be she should cry or laugh. She said she is aware of the different broadcasts on BBM and it has left her heart broken. ‘I truly need the surgery, and Nigerians have helped me with N2.6m so far’, Funmi said.

I also asked her about Don Jazzy’s donation and she said. ‘I got a call from the Marvin crew yesterday and they asked me if my account was credited with N2M, I told them I wasn’t sure because I don’t receive alerts. I asked my brother to get in touch with GTB Bank and they told him, it was credited.

I also asked her if any other notable Nigerian has donated anything, she said no, just Don Jazzy for now. As at yesterday, the money was only N600, 000 before Don Jazzy added his N2M.

Funmi Lawal Needs N4M to Live Again

 She also just finished her Law school Bar 2 final exams barely 2 weeks ago. She patiently waits to be called to the Nigerian Bar precisely on November 7th 2012. Funmi has been diagnosed with Malignant Sarcoma, this is a kind of Cancer which affects the supporting or connective tissues of the body such as muscle, bone, nerves, cartilage, blood vessels and fat. And it has become so extensive that it might affect some other parts of her body if surgery is not done immediately.

She needs the Sum of 4 Million Naira to enable her live the dream she has worked for over the past 20 years. This is where we appeal to you to help rally round her to help achieve this dream.
