It was indeed a sad day in Lagos especially for those who lived in Alfa-Nla Agege and those in Ifako-Gbagada area of Lagos. The robbers began their raid at around 10; 30am this morning from Ifako-Gbagada and drove through Oshodi and finally made another raid in Agege. The bureau de change owners at Agege where attacked while the robbers shot at two of them before carting away two bags containing local and foreign currencies running into millions.
According to reports, seven people died in the different attacks which took place today. A stray bullet shot by the robbers also hit a six-year old girl in the eye and her grandmother on the forehead while they were watching TV in their home at No 15, Alfa-Nla, Agege.
The robbers, six men and two women drove in two SUVs, a Prado and Armada. It was said that after making their last raid in Agege, some Police men on parade tried to apprehend them but two of the men were shot dead by the robbers at Guinness bus stop at Oba Akran before the robbers escaped with their loots.
