Women Walk against Domestic Violence, as Titi Arowolo Becomes the Subject

A walk to remember the late Titilayo Arowolo who was allegedly killed by her husband, Kola Arowolo and also to all victims of domestic violence has commenced this morning September 7th. “While the case is still in court and justice runs its course, Titi and all victims of domestic violence,”


will always be remembered, said Josephine Effah-Chukwuma, CEO, Project Alert On Violence against Women; a network of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO), State and Federal organizations who provide services to abused and young girls is presently holding a domestic violence awareness walk, using Titi as the most recent face of domestic violence.
The walk which started at 9am and is billed to hold simultaneously on the Island and Mainland will see the Island walk taking off from Falomo roundabout through Awolowo Way down to City Mall while the Mainland walk takes off from Maryland through Mobolaji Bank Anthony to Archibishop Vining Memorial Cathedral Church Parking Ground, GRA. However, at the end of the rally, some notable Nigerians and professionals would give five minutes talks on the issue of domestic violence.
